The scouts can bond while they earn pins & badges!

Two Scout Night Options
(because different pins & badges require different activities)
1. Paint-Your-Own-Pottery
-The leader can pick pieces to paint ahead of time or let parents decide an individual price limit.
$5 + price of piece /scout (pieces are $3 & up)
2. Play with Clay then Paint
- Come the first week to build two pieces out of clay, and meet back a t Alpaca Art the next week to paint it.
Some pieces may include slab pot, coil pot, pinch pot, figurine, or decorative sculpture. If you need certain
pieces, let us know otherwise we will decide.
$12 per scout

Upon Request, we will explain &/or demonstrate the process of clay creations, glazing & firing. We can also explain & review pottery terms such as bat, wedging, throwing, leather hard, bone dry, greenware, bisque, terra-cotta, grog, slip, score, earthenware, stoneware, porcelain, pyrometric cone & glaze. -Make sure to let us know ahead of time so we may be prepared.

Tiger Cub electives: *Make a decoration w/ family or friends to display or give as gift. *Make frame for family picture. *Mix primary colors to make secondary colors. Wolf Cub Electives: *Make a gift to give away. *Mix primary colors to make secondary colors. Bear Cub Electives: *Do an original art project to show at a pack meeting. Webelos Scouts: *Use clay to sculpt objects. |
Boy Scouts Art Merit Badge Requirements: *Design a logo to add to ceramics. Pottery Merit Badge Requirements: *Pots & figurines ( to be done as group activities only, so get your group together!) *Wheel thrown pots (by appointment only) *Learn how low-fire electric kilns work!
